Snellville

A peaceful and relaxing neighborhood with a family-friendly community.

Welcome to Snellville

Part of Gwinnett County, Snellville is a suburb within the Atlanta metropolitan area roughly 30 miles northwest of the city of Atlanta. With roots that reach back to the 1870s, Snellville has a history of perseverance, including the work of an English settler (the town’s eventual namesake) named Thomas Snell. Snellville's small-town feel and walkable nature catalyze a community vibe displayed at its farmers market on Saturdays.

Snellville is a friendly, welcoming, and growing community. It has an excellent school and ever-expanding business opportunities, making it an attractive choice for young careerists and family-oriented individuals.

Local Lifestyle

Snellville is a tranquil community that embraces outdoor relaxation and recreation. Residents enjoy competing in sports, exercising, temporarily logging off the grid at Lenora Park, or catching a band and grabbing a bite while on the Towne Green. Snellville is a place where everybody knows somebody.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Over 60 businesses call Webb Gin Outdoor Mall home. Barnes & Noble and Sprouts Farmers Market are among the notable mall stores available. There is also a wide variety of dining options.

For over 40 years, Provino's Italian Restaurant has treated the Atlanta region to comforting food with a homemade feel. Classic pasta and seafood dishes pepper the menu. If you're looking for something fresh and vibrant, order the penne prima vera or the angel hair dalvina. Or, if you prefer to steer toward decadence, experience the bounty known as cioppino. A word to the wise — leave room for dessert — your sweet tooth will thank you.

Under the direction of Johnson and Wales Culinary University graduate and seasoned executive chef Alex Friedman, The Kitchen at Summit Chase uses locally sourced seasonal ingredients, producing food that showcases refined simplicity with a comforting familial ambiance.

Great Mexican food complimented by fresh margaritas on the rocks from Little Mexico Grill is always an excellent choice for casual dining. Texas Road House Grill is another popular local choice for steaks and barbeque.

Things to Do

T.W. Briscoe Park is a destination for outdoor activity. Showcasing a six-acre lake and corresponding 1.2-mile trail, the park also incorporates an array of multi-use fields, including two designated for softball. The park also features basketball and tennis courts, outdoor pavilions for those looking for shade amidst the wide-open spaces, and a swimming pool.

Snellville Farmers Market convenes every Saturday morning from the beginning of June through the end of September. A “producers only” venue, the market features fresh produce, meats, seafood, live plants, herbs, and baked goods. There are also vendors with body and skin care products, pottery, and an eclectic variety of freshly made options. It is an opportunity to support local suppliers and producers, grab a bite to eat, and rub elbows with other community members.

Live on the Lawn, also held on the Towne Green, is a monthly live music series from May through September with a VIP seating and table option that invites you to sit back and enjoy food and drinks.

Creekwater Alpaca Farms provides an up close and personal experience with wildlife, including alpacas, bunnies, Toulouse geese, goats, guinea fowl, horses, pigs, and sheep. Reserved private tours are available via appointment on weekdays, while public tours are held on weekends.

In its 180 acres, Lenora Park showcases its vast, spacious area in numerous ways, including multi-use fields, a pavilion, a playground, six fields used for either baseball or softball, an outdoor pool, a 1.5-mile paved trail, and a full-length 18-hole disc-golf course.
